AGREEMENT <br /> FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br /> <br /> (BAY AREA GEOTECHNICAL GROUP) <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this first day of <br /> <br /> March , 2002, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a <br /> <br />charter city and municipal corporation of the State of California ("City"), and BAY <br />AREA GEOTECHNICAL GROUP ("Consultant"); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City proposes to reconstruct a portion of Roosevelt Avenue in <br />the City of Redwood City (the "Project"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in connection with the Project, the City requires professional <br />geotechnical observation and testing services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Consultant represents that it possesses the experience, and <br />is qualified to perform the aforesaid services for the Project; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. CONSULTANT'S SERVICES. Consultant shall perform field density <br />testing, laboratory testing, and related services described in Exhibit "A" hereof, <br />attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein. <br /> <br /> 2. COMPENSATION; EXPENSES; PAYMENT.
