10/08/2012 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2389 <br /> ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AMENDING <br /> SECTIONS 5.1 AND 5.80 OF CHAPTER 5, OF THE REDWOOD <br /> CITY MUNICIPAL CODE TO ADOPT CHAPTER 6.04 OF THE <br /> SAN MATEO COUNTY CODE, ITS ANIMAL CONTROL <br /> ORDINANCE, PURSUANT TO AGREEMENT WITH SAN MATEO <br /> COUNTY AND TO ESTABLISH PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION <br /> THEREOF <br /> WHEREAS, the city contracts with the County of San Mateo to provide <br /> animal control services in Redwood City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Agreement with the County requires the City to adopt the <br /> County's ordinance and all amendments thereto; and <br /> WHEREAS, San Mateo County has amended its Animal Control <br /> Ordinance. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. The above constitute the Council's findings, which are <br /> hereby incorporated herein by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br /> SECTION 2. Section 5.1, Article I of Chapter 5 relating to Animal Control <br /> is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Sec.5.1. — ANIMAL CONTROL ORDINANCE OF SAN MATEO COUNTY <br /> ADOPTED BY REFERENCE. <br /> A. The Animal Control Ordinance of San Mateo County, consisting of <br /> Chapter 6.04 of the Code of Ordinances of the County of San Mateo, California, <br /> as amended on July 24, 2012 and as it may be amended in the future is hereby <br /> adopted by reference except as expressly excepted or amended by the <br /> provisions of this Article. <br /> B.
