03/11/2013 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15250 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY TO AMEND THE STRATEGIC GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF <br /> ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBER 059-172-370 FROM "HIGH DENSITY <br /> RESIDENTIAL" TO "MIXED USE — NEIGHBORHOOD" <br /> WHEREAS, on October 11, 2010, the City Council of the City of Redwood City <br /> ("City Council") adopted the new Redwood City General Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City ("City") has prepared a draft <br /> Comprehensive 2013 Zoning Ordinance Amendment, intended to establish zoning <br /> regulations and govern development in the various areas of the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, to achieve consistency between the General Plan and the <br /> Comprehensive 2013 Zoning Ordinance Amendment, the General Plan must be <br /> amended, as shown on Exhibit A of this Resolution, to change the land use designation <br /> for a portion of one lot located on EI Camino Real (Assessor's Parcel Number 059-172- <br /> 370) from "High Density Residential" to "Mixed Use — Neighborhood"; and <br /> WHEREAS, on February 5, 2013 the Planning Commission of the City of <br /> Redwood City conducted a duly-noticed public hearing pursuant to Section 65353 of the <br /> California Government Code to consider the above-described amendment to the <br /> General Plan, and adopted a Resolution of Intent to Amend the General Plan pursuant <br /> to Section 18.61 of the Redwood City Municipal Code recommending that the City <br /> Council approve the above-described amendment to the General Plan. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct and are hereby incorporated by <br /> this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br /> 2. The City Council hereby amends the General Plan as described above and in <br /> Exhibit A of this Resolution to ensure consistency between the General Plan and <br /> the Zoning Ordinance. <br /> 3.
