P- 2226 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDED AGREEMENT FOR <br /> THE RAIL SPUR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AT THE PORT OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY AND ACCEPTING BID AMOUNT AS SET <br /> FORTH IN LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER'S PROPOSAL <br /> (Rail Spur Improvement Project) <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. P-2215 adopted October 23, <br /> 2013, by the Board of Port Commissioners, the Port Executive Director <br /> requested bids for the Rail Spur Improvement Project at the Port of Redwood <br /> City, Redwood City, California; and <br /> WHEREAS, four (4) bids were received for the performance of said work <br /> and filed with the Port Executive Director; and <br /> WHEREAS, H&H Engineering Construction, Inc., ("H&H") of Stockton, <br /> California, was the lowest responsible bidder; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 2223 adopted December 11, <br /> 2013, the Board of Port Commissioners accepted H&H's bid and approved the <br /> agreement for the Spur Improvement Project (the "Agreement"); and <br /> WHEREAS, H&H's proposal was in the sum of$485,580.00; and <br /> WHEREAS, due to a misunderstanding befinreen H&H and Port staff, <br /> H&H's proposal was approved in the amount of$464,474.00; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention of this Board of Port Commissioners to <br /> amend the Agreement to reflect the amount of H&H's proposal in the sum of <br /> $485,580.00. <br /> = 1 - <br /> Reso 208 <br /> FXS/fs <br /> 01/17/14 ���e <br /> S <br />
