RESOLUTION NO. 14-01 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY DENYING THE APPEAL OF C. SCOTT POWERS <br /> AND UPHOLDING THE DECISION OF THE ZONING ADMINISTRATOR <br /> DENYING VARIANCE NO. V2013-03 FOR 74 MANOR COURT <br /> PURSUANT TO THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING CODE <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicant, C. Scott Powers, filed an application for a Variance to <br /> construct a detached accessory structure within the side and rear yard setbacks at the <br /> property located at 74 Manor Court, Redwood City, California; and <br /> WHEREAS, on November 13, 2013, the Zoning Administrator conducted a duly <br /> noticed public hearing, in accordance with all applicable requirements of the State <br /> Planning and Zoning Law and the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance, to consider <br /> approval of Variance Application No. V2013-03, and received and considered oral and <br /> documentary evidence on the application; and <br /> WHEREAS, on November 26, 2013, the Zoning Administrator issued a Notice of <br /> Official Action for Variance Application No. V2013-03, denying the application because <br /> the required variance findings could not be made; and <br /> WHEREAS, on December 11, 2013, an appeal of the Zoning Administrator's <br /> decision to deny the Variance was filed with the City Clerk by the Applicant; and <br /> WHEREAS, on January 24, 2014, a public hearing notice was published in The <br /> Redwood City Daily News and mailed to interested parties and all property owners <br /> within 300 feet of the Property; and <br /> WHEREAS, on February 4, 2014, the Planning Commission of the City of <br /> Redwood City held a duly noticed public hearing in accordance with all applicable <br /> requirements of the State Planning and Zoning Law and the Redwood City Zoning <br /> Ordinance, to consider the appeal of the Zoning Administrator action on Variance <br /> Application No. V2013-03; and <br /> WHEREAS, on February 4, 2014, the Appellant and all other interested parties <br /> were given the opportunity to participate in the public hearing through oral testimony <br /> and the submittal of written comments; and <br /> WHEREAS, on February 4, 2014, the Planning Commission fully reviewed, <br /> considered, and evaluated the staff reports prepared for the Project including the <br /> attachments to the staff reports, oral and written public testimony, and all other <br /> documents and evidence in the public record on the Project and the appeal. <br /> ATTY/RES029391PC RESO DENYING APPEAL—74 MANOR COURT <br /> REV: 01-06-14 JS <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
