. � �- e;�,� ��. - CGD�Tsw.1/19/78 ORIGI�At R E S O L U T I O N N O. 7988 JAN 23, 1978 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ABANDON PORTION OF PUBLIC STREET IN ACCORDANCE WITH PART 3 OF DIVISION 9 , STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA; SETTING TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN OR OBJECTING TO THE PROPOSED VACATION; AND ORDERING POSTING OF NOTICE OF SUCH PROPOSED VACATION WHEREAS, a portion of Alden Street in the City of Redwood City, heretofore dedicated as a public street, is not needed for present or prospective street purposes; and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City intends to vacate and abandon said portion of Alden Street pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The City Council hereby declares its intention to vacate a portion of Alden Street, as hereinafter described, and elects to proceed with such vacation and abandonment pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code. 2. The portion of Alden Street to be vacated is as indicated on the plat on file in the office of the City Clerk, entitled "Abandonment of a Portion of Alden Street at Veterans �oulevard, " and is more particularly described as follows : Al1 that certain real property situate in the City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, said real property being more particularly described as follows : BEGINNING at the most northerly corner of Parcel B as said parcel is shown on that certain parcel map entitled "PARCEL MAP 69-3 , IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA BEING A SUBDIVISION OF A PORTION OF FRACTIONAL SECTION 18, TOWNSHIP 5 SOUTH RANGE 3 WEST, MOUNT DIABLO BASE & MERIDIAN" , '7 9 � �
