R E S O L U T I O N N 0 . 7 76 <br /> MSR : jp : 2/1/77 <br /> 5 ORIGINAL <br /> FEb 1 =�' 19Ti <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT WITH CANADA COLLEGE FOR PARTICIPATION IN <br /> RETIRED SENIOR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM <br /> WHEREAS , Canada College is administering a retired senior <br /> volunteer program for the purpose of recruiting people 60 years <br /> of age and older ( including residents of Redwood City ) to serve <br /> as volunteers in public agencies , private non-profit organiza- <br /> tions , and proprietary nursing facilities within a geographical <br /> area of service which includes the City of Redwood City ; and <br /> WHEREAS , the Council of the City of Redwood City has found <br /> and determined that participation by the City in the above men- <br /> tioned activity of Canada College will be of general value to <br /> the residents of the City of Redwood City , and will result in <br /> public benefit to the whole of the community and shall be pro- <br /> motive of the health , welfare and morals of the community ; <br /> NOW , THEREFORE ; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY , <br /> AS FOLLOWS : <br /> That certain agreement by and between the City of Redwood <br /> City and Canada College entitled "Agreement " ( form dated 2/1/77 ) <br /> a copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk , to which <br /> copy reference is hereby made for full particulars concerning the <br /> terms and conditions thereof is hereby approved , and the City <br /> Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same <br /> for and on behalf of the City . <br /> 7 7F5 <br />
