R E S O L U T I O N N 0 . 2178 RESOLUTION CONSENTING TO TRANSFER OF CONTROL AND JURISDICTION OVER PORTION OF PORT AREA WHEREAS , subsection ( 4) of Section 47f of the Charter of The City of Redwood City provides for the surrender and re - linquishment by the Board of Port Commissioners of control and jurisdiction over portions of the "Port Area" under the juris - diction of said Board to the Council of the City of Redwood City subject to the consent of said Council ; and , WHEREAS , it is desirable and in the public interest that control and jurisdiction over the hereinafter described portion of said '"Port Area" be relinquished by the Port Depart- ment and the Board of Port Commissioners , and that control and jurisdiction over said described portion be assumed by the Council of the City of Redwood City for recreational and other municipal purposes ; and , WHEREAS , the Board of Port Commissioners of the City of Redwood City did relinquish and transfer control and jurisdic - tion over the hereinafter described portion of said area to the Council of The City of Redwood City by the adoption of Resolution No . P entitled " Resolution Transferring and Relinquishing Control and Jurisdiction of Certain Described Portion of Port Area to the Council of the City of Redwood City " adopted by the Board of Port Commissioners the 2.t& day of 1957 : NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY , as follows : 1 . That , in accordance with Section 47f of subsection ( .) of the Charter of The City of Redwood City , this Council does hereby consent to the relinquishment of control and jurisdiction by the Board of Port Commissioners of the City of Redwood City over the hereinafter described portion of real property , being a part of the " Port Area" as said area is defined by Section 50
