vE6.ex L/u/bu <br />R E S O L U T,I O N N O. <br />5611 ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR FURNISHING OF ONE <br />STREET SWEEPER, ONE 150 CFM AIR COMPRESSOR, ONE TWO - <br />TON PATCH TRUCK, AND ONE ONE-HALF TON PICKUP TRUCK <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5589, adopted January 22, <br />1968, the City Clerk called for bids for the furnishing of one <br />latest model street sweeper, one portable 150 CFM air compressor, <br />one two -ton patch truck with dump body and bitumal sprayer - <br />compressor unit, and one latest model one-half ton pickup truck, <br />to be used for municipal purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call bids were received and filed <br />with the City Clerk for the furnishing of said equipment; and <br />WHEREAS, NIXON-EGLI EQUIPMENT CO., INC., Emeryville, <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing <br />of one latest model street sweeper; EDWARD R. BACON COMPANY, <br />San Francisco, California, is the lowest responsible bidder <br />for the furnishing of one portable 150 CFM air compressor; <br />TOWNE FORD SALES, Redwood City, California, is the lowest <br />responsible bidder for the furnishing of one latest model <br />two -ton patch truck with dump body and bitumal sprayer; and <br />E -Z DAVIES CHEVROLET, Redwood City, California, is the lowest <br />responsible bidder for the furnishing of one one-half ton <br />pickup truck; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council <br />to award said bids to said lowest responsible bidders; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLCFATS: <br />1. The bid of NIXON-EGLI EQUIPMENT CO., INC., in the total <br />net delivered price of fifteen thousand one hundred seventy-two <br />and 50/100 dollars ($15,172.50), for the furnishing of one <br />latest model street sweeper., in accordance with the specifications <br />
