1/14/02 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14 4 0 8 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AMENDED AGREEMENT FOR HOUSING ASSOCIATION FOR THE <br />NEEDY AND DISPOSSESSED, INC. (HAND) TO REHABILITATE <br />REDWOOD OAKS APARTMENTS <br />AT 330 -340 REDWOOD AVENUE <br />WHEREAS, The Housing for the Needy and Dispossessed ( "Contractor ") operates a <br />multi - family apartment building located at 330 -340 Redwood Avenue, Redwood City (the <br />"Building ") to provide affordable housing for residents of the City of Redwood City (the <br />Program); and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to rehabilitate <br />the Building during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br />increase the allocation to Contractor, to a total sum of Two Hundred Forty One Thousand <br />Four Hundred and 22/100 Dollars ($241,400.22 ) from its Community Housing <br />Development Organization HOME Partnership Investment Program funds for the <br />foregoing purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, an amended agreement entitled, "Amended Agreement with Housing <br />Association For the Needy and Dispossessed, Inc. (HAND) to Rehabilitate Redwood Oaks <br />Apartments at 330 -340 Redwood Avenue" providing for such funding has been presented <br />to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said amended <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br />12/17/01 1 <br />
