<br /> DES:d-"- -')/21/90 (005/9) <br /> lJUL - 9 'fOOO <br /> ORIC' <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2019 <br /> --------- <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7 OF ORDINANCE NO. 2018 <br /> RELATING TO EXCESS WATER USE CHARGES IMPOSED UNDER <br /> REGULATIONS AND RESTRICTIONS ON THE DELIVERY AND <br /> CONSUMPTION OF WATER DURING WATER SHORTAGE EMERGENCY <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION l. Section 7 of Ordinance No. 2018 entitled <br />"Ordinance Determining and Declaring Water Shortage Emergency, <br />Establishing Regulations and Restrictions on the Delivery and <br />Consumption of Water, and Establishing Penalties for Violations <br />Thereof", adopted June 25, 1990, is hereby amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> "Section 7. Excess Water Use Charges. Excess water <br /> use charges are hereby established in the following amounts <br /> for the amounts of water consumed, respectively, by any user <br /> in excess of the water use allotment established for such <br /> user under Section 5(a) hereof, for any billing period: <br /> CHARGE PER UNIT USAGE OVER ALLOTMENT <br /> $ 2.00 first 20 units <br /> $ 2.00 Units Exceeding <br /> allotment by: <br /> $ 2.00 (i) o - 10%, excluding <br /> first 20 Units; <br /> $ 3.00 (ii) 10.01 - 25%, excluding <br /> first 20 Units; <br /> $ 4.00 (iii) over 25%, excluding <br /> first 20 Units" <br /> SECTION 2. This Council hereby declares this ordinance to <br />be necessary as an emergency measure for the immediate <br />preservation of public peace, health, or safety for the reasons <br /> . "" <br />
