<br /> DCB:rks 5/17/84 <br /> JUN 25 1984 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1899 1899 ORiGiNAL <br /> --------- <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY PROVIDING FOR <br />THE APPLICATION OF THE VEHICLE CODE TO CERTAIN PRIVATE <br />PROPERTY PURSUANT TO VEHICLE CODE SECTION 21107.7 <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Section 20.91.4 is hereby added to Chapter 20 of <br />the Code of the City of Redwood City to read as follows: <br /> "Section 20.91.4 Enforcement of Parking Regulation on <br />Private Roads Not Open to Public Use. Pursuant to the <br />provisions of Section 21107.7 of the Vehicle Code of the <br />State of California it is hereby found and declared that <br />there are privately owned and maintained roads as described <br />in this code section within the City that are not generally <br />held open for use of the public for purposes of vehicular <br />travel but by reason of their proximity to or connection <br />with highways the interests of any residents residing along <br />such roads will best be served by application of provisions <br />of the Vehicle Code to these roads and therefore, the <br />provisions of Section 21458(a) of said Code which prohibits <br />the parking, stopping and/or standing of vehicles in a "red <br />zone" and Section 42001 of said Code which authorizes the <br />issuance of citations for vehicles parked in violation of <br />any Vehicle Code provision and allows imposition of a fine <br />of up to $50.00 for such violation shall, upon appropriate <br /> 189 Q <br /> ~-,.~ <br />
