CGM:mf 9/8/81 <br />CGM:mf 10/7/81R <br />CGM:mf 10/27/81 <br />y 8 n n CGM:mf 11/5/81R <br />ORDINANCE NO. j `�y <br />---- -- — — NoV161981 <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 12 OF THE <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; AND ADDING ARTICLE <br />II OF CHAPTER 12 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />RELATING TO FIRE PREVENTION; AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE <br />THE "UNIFORM FIRE CODE, 1979 EDITION," AS PUBLISHED <br />BY THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS <br />AND THE WESTERN FIRE CHIEFS ASSOCIATION <br />THE COUNICIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Article II (commencing at 12.7) of Chapter 12 of <br />the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 2. Article II (commencing at 12.7) is hereby added to <br />Chapter 12 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, to read as follows: <br />ARTICLE II <br />FIRE PREVENTION CODE <br />"Section 12.7 (a) Pursuant to Section 50022.1, et seq., of <br />the California Government Code and Section 15 of the Charter of <br />the City of Redwood City, the 'Uniform Fire Code, 1979 Edition,' <br />as published by the International Conference of Building Officials <br />and the Western Fire Chiefs Association, is hereby adopted and <br />shall be in effect within the City of Redwood City to the same <br />extent as if set out in full herein, except as expressly amended <br />by the provisions of this article. <br />"(b) In the event of any conflict between the provisions of <br />the Uniform Fire Code, 1979 Edition, hereinafter referred to as <br />the 'Fire Code,' and the provisions of this article, the provisions <br />1849 <br />
