<br /> t ; CGM:bc:6/27/79 <br />.It . ... <br /> ) <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> JUl 1 ß 1919 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1791 <br />-------- <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.15 OF THE CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO REIMBURSEMENTS OF <br />TRANSPORTATION EXPENSES INCURRED IN THE PERFORMANCE <br />OF DUTIES <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Section 2.15 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 2.15. Transportation expenses shall be computed <br />as follows: <br />" (a) Actual costs to and from destination not to exceed <br /> a maximum computed at seventeen cents ($0.17) per <br /> mile for miles traveled both within and outside <br /> the city by carrier service, including any <br /> privately-owned conveyance; provided, however, <br /> that for travel to and from destination in excess <br /> of three hundred (300) miles said maximum shall <br /> not exceed actual air coach fare when such fare <br /> is less than the amount computed at the aforesaid <br /> rates. For the purposes of this subsection, the <br /> actual cost for miles, actually traveled by <br /> privately owned conveyance, including costs of <br /> fuel, maintenance, repairs, insurance and deprecia- <br /> tion, shall be deemed equal to the maximum allowance <br /> provided for in this subsection. <br />" (b) Any employee of the city who is required to keep <br /> available a privately-owned vehicle for use in <br /> traveling on city business during his working days <br /> as a condition of employment shall be allowed, as <br /> determined by the city manager, either: <br /> " (1) An amount equal to estimated actual costs, <br /> including costs of fuel, maintenance, repairs, <br /> insurance and depreciation, which amount shall <br /> not exceed 90 percent of the monthly rental <br /> charge for City passenger cars as paid to the <br /> equipment rental fund; or <br /> " (2) The amount of seven cents (0.07) per mile for <br /> each mile actually traveled on city business <br /> plus sixty dollars ($60.00) per month, which <br /> amounts shall be in lieu of all other compensa- <br /> tion for costs of fuel, maintenance, repairs, <br /> insurance and depreciation." <br />SECTION 2.
