[dJML :PDA ' mb 10/4/65 15anc`t7 <br />RESOLUTION NO., <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING CONSENT OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF RED1..IOOD CITY TO THE EXERCISE OF EXTRA- <br />TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION TO UNDERTAKE PROCEEDINGS <br />FOR THE ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC <br />IMPROVEMENTS AND TO PROVIDE THAT THE COSTS SHALL <br />BE ASSESSED UPON THE DISTRICT BENEFITED, UNDER <br />APPROPRIATE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT AND ASSESSMENT BOND <br />ACTS <br />CAMINO-BAY ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, <br />California, that <br />1,THEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San <br />Mateo has filed with this Council a certified copy of its <br />Resolution requesting consent of this Council to undertake <br />appropriate special assessment and assessment bond proceedings <br />for the acquisition and construction of public improvements <br />and to assess the cost thereof on the lands described in said <br />Resolution; <br />1dHEREAS, there has been filed with this Council a copy <br />of the form of Resolution of Preliminary Determination and of <br />Intention to be used in said proceedings; <br />'WHEREAS, a portion of said acquisitions and improvements <br />to be made are within the incorporated territory of this City <br />and a portion of the lands to be assessed to pay the costs and <br />expenses thereof is incorporated territory within said City; <br />11HEREAS, said acquisitions and improvements to be made <br />are of such a character that they will directly and peculiarly <br />affect property not only within the boundaries of the City of <br />Redwood City but also the unincorporated territory within San <br />Mateo County, and the purposes sought.to be accomplished can <br />best be accomplished by a single comprehensive scheme of work; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the public interest, convenience and necessity <br />will be served by the making of said acquisitions and improvements <br />
