RESOLUTION NO. 12132 <br /> DES:djk 10/27/94 (038/37) <br /> o RIG I N A L 2/14194 <br /> RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. 12132 <br /> ---------- <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> PURCHASE DOCUMENTS FOR RECREATIONAL EQUIPMENT AT GEORGE <br /> GARRETT, JR. MEMORIAL PARK <br /> WHEREAS, written bids without public advertisement were <br /> solicited for the purchase of playground equipment, picnic <br /> tables/benches and a water fountain ( "the Equipment ") at George <br /> Garrett Jr. Memorial Park, Redwood City, California; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation five bids were <br /> received and presentations were made by the proposed vendors to <br /> the special Review Committee established for that purpose; and <br /> WHEREAS, Ross Recreation Equipment Company, Inc. , of Novato, <br /> California, is the lowest responsible bidder meeting the <br /> pertinent Consumer Product Safety Commission Guidelines, the <br /> Americans with Disabilities Act ( " ADA" ) and the qualitative <br /> requirements for the Equipment; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to accept the bid of said Ross <br /> Recreation Equipment Company, I nc . ; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWB: <br /> l. The bid of Ross Equipment Company, Inc. for the sale of <br /> Equipment to be replaced at George Garrett, Jr. Memorial Park to <br /> the City of Redwood City in an amount not to exceed Thirty-three <br /> Thousand One Hundred Twenty-three and 66/100 Dollars ($33,123.66) <br /> and in accordance with said bidder's proposal dated December 28, <br /> 1993, is hereby accepted, and said bidder is hereby declared to <br />
