A (706) <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on January 10, 2005. <br /> <br />Present: Council Member Bain, Hartnett, Howard, and Mayor Ira <br /> <br />Absent: Council Member Foust and Vice Mayor Pierce <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes <br /> <br />MIS Hartnett/Howard After completion of the Public Hearing, approve by motion, the <br />Police Chief's recommendation to dedicate $100,730.00 of the Citizens Option for Public <br />Safety (COPS) funds to the salaries and benefits of the new police officer positions <br />approved by City Council pursuant to the staffing study of 1997. The Police Chief <br />recommends that the remaining funds, $9, 537.00, be dedicated to the purchase of law <br />enforcement equipment. <br /> <br />The motion passed by a majortity roll call vote, with Council Member Foust and Vice <br />Mayor Pierce absent. <br /> <br />~ ",,(~~ "..,., .
