<br />DES:d:ik 02/25/93 <br /> <br />(052/34) <br />3/8/93 <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. <br /> <br />11949 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE OF WEIGHT ROOM EQUIPMENT <br />FOR THE NEW POLICE FACILITY AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />written <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />without <br /> <br />public <br /> <br />advertisement <br /> <br />were <br /> <br />solicited for the purchase of weight room equipment for the new <br /> <br />police facility; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />solicitation <br /> <br />three <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />were <br /> <br />received; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Paul Gaines Fitness Equipment Company, of Campbell, <br /> <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this Council desires to accept the bid of said <br /> <br />Paul Gaines Fitness Equipment Company; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The bid of Paul Gaines Fitness Equipment Company for <br /> <br />the sale of weight room equipment to the City of Redwood City in <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />amount of Eighteen Thousand Three <br /> <br />Hundred Forty- four <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />05/100 Dollars ($18,344.05) and in accordance with said bidder's <br /> <br />proposal dated February 8, <br /> <br />1993, <br /> <br />is hereby accepted, <br /> <br />and said <br /> <br />bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for <br /> <br />said equipment. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Any and all informalities in the aforementioned bid of <br /> <br />Paul Gaines Fitness Equipment Company is, and each of them are, <br /> <br />hereby waived. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute such purchase orders or other purchase documents (in form <br />approved by the City Attorney) to effectuate the purchase <br />approved hereby for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />.
