<br />DES:d-ik 02/12/93 <br /> <br />(048/34) <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />2/22/93 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />~ O. 11945 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE BREWSTER AVENUE - MC <br />EVOY STREET SEWER MAIN IMPROVEMENTS; AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING <br />RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 11916, adopted December <br /> <br />14, <br /> <br />1992, <br /> <br />the City Clerk advertised for bids for the Brewster <br /> <br />Avenue - Mc Evoy Street Sewer Main Improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, fourteen bids were <br /> <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the City <br /> <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />D.W. <br /> <br />Young Construction Company, <br /> <br />Inc. , <br /> <br />Danvi1le, <br /> <br />California, <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />lowest <br /> <br />responsible <br /> <br />bidder <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />it <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />intention and desire of this Council to award said bid to D.W. <br /> <br />Young Construction Company, Inc.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS ¡"OLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The bid of D.W. Young Construction Company, <br /> <br />Inc. , <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />the amount of Four Hundred Ten Thousand Four Hundred Seventy-one <br /> <br />and NO/100 <br /> <br />Dollars <br /> <br />($410,471.00) , <br /> <br />computed in accordance with <br /> <br />said bidder's proposal dated January 13, 1993, for the Brewster <br /> <br />Avenue <br /> <br />Mc <br /> <br />Evoy <br /> <br />Street <br /> <br />Sewer <br /> <br />Main <br /> <br />Improvements, <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />hereby <br /> <br />accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled "Agreement" (form dated <br /> <br />02/12/93) <br /> <br />by and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal <br /> <br />corporation <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />State <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />California <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />D.W. <br /> <br />Young <br /> <br />,c..-.-.... ,.--.oo-... .. -., <br />
