<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />FACILITY RENOVATION <br /> <br />(POPLAR RECARE) <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 1-6 -ri.., day of <br />%1 . ' 1998, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a <br />municipal corporation of the State of California, (City), and POPLAR RECARE, <br /> <br />a California non-profit corporation (Contractor); <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor conducts an education and vocational service for <br /> <br />infants, children, adults and seniors with disabilities for residents of the City (the <br /> <br />Program); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br /> <br />improve a facility to conduct the Program for residents of City during the fiscal <br /> <br />year commencing July 1, 1997, and ending June 30, 1998; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to <br /> <br />Contractor the sum of Five Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($5,000.00) from its <br /> <br />Community Development Block Grant funds for the Program; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. Financial Assistance. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of <br /> <br />Five Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($5,000.00) for exclusive use by Contractor <br /> <br />during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1997, and ending June 30, 1998, <br /> <br />solely for the purposes described in paragraph 2. <br /> <br />Agreement-5 <br />4/27/98 <br /> <br />T .~. <br />
