It was ordered filed. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br /> <br />- .,." <br /> <br />'Mr. Mer"ton was ~r-anted permission to br ing up in special meeting <br />the following matters: <br /> <br />~The Boy Scouts of America have requested permission to erect a <br />sign atlthe recreation building, indicating the building as their <br />headquarters, and also have requested a key to the building~. <br /> <br />MSC that no signs be permitted on the building except those <br />indicating the headquarters of the recreatìon department, inasmuch <br />as the building is not a community center but the recreation office. <br /> <br />Three WPA employees were to go on enforced furlough, and it was <br />urged that they be- kept on the staff wìth city fun'ds until WPA regu- <br />lations permitted them to return under Federal funds. <br /> <br />MSC th-at retention -of -the employees be recommended to the- city <br />manager, at a cost not to exceed $120, to come from the r~creation <br />department budget. <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Considerable discussion.was held on~plans for development of the <br />field adjoining the corporation yard. Maps of the area and possible <br /> <br />location of differe~ feat~es were discussed rt len~~.
