Absent: None. <br /> <br />, . <br /> <br />Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />, ~ <br /> <br />, , <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS: ' <br /> <br />, I <br /> <br />v <br /> <br />From the.Redwood City Commuters. Club, in regard-to the sugg- <br />ested purchase of IIButcher Field. II The letter was ordered placed <br />in the active file. <br /> <br />From the Redwood City Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br /> <br />Mr. .Bogie, chairman of the committee investigating a possible <br />bond issue for recreation, presented a copy of the report his comm- <br />ittee made to the 'city council. Mr. Spinas mentioned that develop- <br />ment of yacht harbor, .no.t officially included in the report made <br />to ~e co~cil,- a~so came ~ for discussion at that ~eti~. <br /> <br />In ensuing discussion Mr. Earle Clegg of the Commuters' Club <br />voiced the op~nion that the suggested play area between Alameda <br />de 1as Pu1gas and Westgate St. might be lIa little out of the way II. <br />-He spoke in favor of' the purchase of "Butcher Field." Mr. Wrex <br />Cruse, also of that club, said the ,city c'ounci1 seemed 'to be'in <br />favor of the "Butcher Fie1dll suggestion. <br /> <br />Mr. Eva suggested that a logical, black-and-white- plan for <br />development of the' recreation program, be laid down. <br /> <br />MSC that the chairman appoint a commi,ttee to draw up a defin- <br />ite, clear, detailed plan for'development of recreation now and in <br />, the future, to be presented to the city council. Mr. Spinas asked <br />permission to delay the appointment of the committee until he had <br />given it more thought,. <br /> <br />, . ~ <br />¡ <br />; <br /> <br />,--/ <br /> <br />Mr. Vanderborden, chairman of the yacht harbor development <br />committee, filed a report on his co~itteels meeting with officers <br />of Sequoia Yacht Club. He asked what became of yacht harbor re- <br />ceopts, and if they could be used on yacht harbor improvements. <br />Mr. Dimmitt explained that all the receipts are used in maintenance <br />,of the harbor. He also explained that promised improvements to <br />the swimming facilities have been delayed until Spring and the <br />start of the new season. <br /> <br />Mr. Bogie asked that the commission secure a monthly report <br /> <br />. - . <br /> <br />, , .', ,'- ,,-- - <br />, --' -- , <br /> <br />; <br />~--, - <br /> <br />-'.-"- - ---' <br />
