<br />!' <br /> <br />. 119 <br /> <br />REDWOOD CITY FARK AND RECRFATI ON COMr~nSSI ON <br /> <br />Regular meeting, May 25th 1948 <br /> <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Andrew Spinas at 7:40 p.m. <br />Present were I Chairmen Spinae I Donald Bogie, Ralph Case, Clement Baume. <br />1aek Poole I H. M. Scales I Alfred Mortoi. Pasco Balzarini. <br /> <br />Director Morton told about the joint service club dinner to be held at <br />the new CoInl1D.lnity Center Building. The dinner i s schedule d for J'une 7th. <br /> <br />Director Morton reported that the progress of moving the building from <br />the Port of Redwood City is now umerl~ay.--Archery fi e1d is 501' completed. <br />A further meeti ng on the Yacht Harbor with committees from the Port, <br />City Council and Recreation Commdssion.--Cornmunity Center Bui1diDg is now <br />being used and will be dedi cated on J'une 13th. <br /> <br />~~. Balzarini was inst rueted to look for a si te for th e new park <br />corporation yard. <br /> <br />Director Morton requested action on th e Tennis CO1.1rtS wnich are to <br />be at Co.mmnnity Park. <br /> <br />Commissioner Bogie gave a report on the amO1.lnt of property needed <br />for recreation areas in tract along with school grounds and churches. <br />He stated t hat new tracts being developed at the present t 1me do not <br />allow space for recreation areas. Chairman Spinas stated that the <br />reBreation grounds should be adjacent to the school grounds and <br />recommended that we should bring this matteJt before the P1anniDg <br />COnk"lis si on. <br /> <br />Nominating CoDlllittee presented the following: J'ack Poole, Chairman; <br />Clement Bawœ I Vice Chairman; 'tlrs. }viae ~ia.yo, Secretary. <br /> <br />}.~otion made and seconded that the nominations be aec~pted as read. <br /> <br />There being no further business the rœ eti ng was adjourned at 8: 30 }) .m. <br /> <br />Ralph Case, <br />.A.cti ng Secretary <br /> <br /> <br />'" <br /> <br />
