<br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />REDt~¡OOD CITY PARK AND RECREATION CO~íMISSION <br /> <br />Regular Meeting Octobèr 24,1950 <br /> <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman, Ralph Case at <br />7:45 p.m. Present were: C~issioners, Clement Ba~e, Donald <br />Bogie, William Hanley, Jack Poole. Pasco Balzarini was <br />represented by Al Olson. Audrey Engelm~~. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />1. Community Park Baseball Time Schedule. . <br />t~SC by \Villiam Hen ley and Jack Poole that Sunday <br />baseball games shall be scheduled for 12:00 and <br />2:30. ,The first ßame shall be set up for Teen- <br />Age teams B.nd the se cond game for AA te'ams of <br />Redwood City~ On the first game (12:00) being <br />played, no new inning shall start after 2:00 p.m. <br /> <br />2. Taft School Turfing Recommendation. <br />~7SC by Jack Poole and. Donald Bogie. Recommend <br />to the ci ty council to find the wB,YS and means <br />of cooperating with Redwood City ElementAry <br />School District to complete the Taft project of <br />Turfing. <br /> <br />\ <br /> <br />3. Swimming Pool Dedication <br />William Hanley reported the committee is working <br />on the project. As yet there is nothing new to <br />report. <br /> <br />4. The Commission mem.bers were all in accord wi th the action <br />by the City Council on the re-location of the Redwood <br />City Yacht Harbor. <br /> <br /> <br />5. P.C.A. Meeting. <br />William Hanley reported he attended the P.G.A. meeting <br />and talkëd with members about the relationship <br />between the Recreation Department and the P.C.A. It <br />was agreed that the P.C.A. would donate money when they <br />could to the Recreation Department and help develop <br />any projects pertaining to RecreRtion. At present, <br />thev do not have the monéy to donate. It was also <br /> <br />u ~ <br /> <br />agreed thEtt there is no eonnection whatever between <br /> <br />',.' <br /> <br />P. C. A. p"nd the Re eres tiOll Department and they will <br />not advertise as a part of the Recreetion Department. <br /> <br />CO~Æ~,~UNI CATIONS: <br /> <br />1. state Recreation Commission <br />Mr. Bogie reported that the Citizens ComÅ“ittee was <br />interested in studying recreation needs. It was <br />sug~ested that ~r. Bogie contact Red Morton and find out <br />the date for the survey of recreation facilities. It was <br /> <br />" <br /> <br /> <br />also suggested that when the survey is completed, <br />representatives fro!Tl the Ci tizens comn~i ttee attend the <br />meeting and hear the report. <br />
