The meeting wae called to order by the Chairman William <br />H~ley at 7:40 p.m. Present were C~lssloners Wl11l~ HMley, <br />-Irving Gold, Hiram Stout, Donald Bogie, Ralph Case, and two <br />newly appointed commi~sioners, Mrs. Eloise Campbell ,and Fred D. <br />Hector, and Recreation Director Alfred Morton and Park Superin- <br />tendent Pasco Balzarini. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />Chai~an William Hanley welcomed the two new commissioners <br />- and introduced them to the other members of the Park and <br />Recreation Commission. <br /> <br />The minute! of the last regular meeting of January 2nd were <br />approved as read. <br /> <br />.. .~ <br /> <br />PER SOI~ AL APPEARANCES: <br /> <br />~ -1 _r <br /> <br />George Siefert representing the Friendly Acree Improvment <br />Club asked what the results of the Snyder report would mean to <br />the Friendly Acpes area. He understood that the work on the Taft <br />School area should be completed this summer for play and asked <br />if the Club could be of any assistance in helping the project. <br /> <br />Chairman Hanley stated that the Commission is now studying <br />the priority list of ppojects in the Snyder report and they will <br />be submi tted to the City Council a-oon. He also stated that when <br />they come to the Firendly Acres part of the list, Mr. Seifert <br />would be called in to study the plan wi th the commi ttee. 1~r. <br />Hanley also stated that the Commiesion will start studying the <br />Snyder report after it goes over the Park and Recreation Budget! <br />for 1952-53. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF COMMITTEES: <br /> <br />~ H ~ T ~ <br /> <br />Commissioner .i.Jonald Bogie reported that he will call a meeting <br />next week to go over the Park and Recreation Budgets before they <br />are submitted to the City Manager. <br /> <br />Commissioner Gold reported that his Committee will start <br />studying the priority list on the Snyder report after the <br />19~2-53 Budgets are c~pleted. <br /> <br /> <br />cor~~1UNICATIONS : <br /> <br />------.;;r <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />A letter from the City Council in regard to the Westwood <br />Terrace playground was reported by Chairman Hanley. Mr. Hanley <br />reported that he spoke to the last council meeting relative to <br />this project and that 'the Commission planned to include the <br />major portion of this project in the 19~2-~3 Budget. <br /> <br />'. <br /> <br />, . <br /> <br /> <br />"'T <br />
