<br />REGULAR ~ÆEETING of the Park and Recreation Commission w.as held at the
<br />City Hall, in the Council Ch~mbers, Wednesday, April 1st, 1953.
<br />The meeting was cR.lled to order by Chairman William Hanley at
<br />7:45 P.M. ~ose present were: C~ission~rs Catherine Brennan
<br />Elo11ise Campbell, WilJ_ia.m Hanley ,Fred l"lector, Hiram Stout,
<br />Irvln~ Gold, Park Supervisor Pasco Balzarini and Recreation
<br />Director Alfred Morton. Absent were: Joseph F'erern, Andrew Spinas
<br />and RRlph Case. Councilman William Royer came in late.

<br />CHAIRivTAN Willia.m Ha.nley re commended that the Recreation Commis s ion mee t
<br />wi_th the City CoUncil Commission on RecreAtion relative to the
<br />status of the Westwood Playground,
<br />
<br />TAFT SCHOOL PLAY area was to be put on the agenda for the next regular
<br />meeting pendin~ a report from Alfred Morton on the Ddlicy set up
<br />by the Oakland Schools and Recreation DePRrtment.

<br />MSC by Commissioners CRmpbell and Brennan that the Park Department
<br />Budget be adoited as submitted bv Commissioner Hector with the
<br />followinq additions:
<br />1. Add $~O.OO to the Conference Fund
<br />2. Add $1400.00 for turfInr; in the reHr of the ~wimyrJinçr pool.
