<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />Samaritan House <br /> <br />Safe Harbor Homeless Shelter <br /> <br />TH IS AG REEM E NT, made and entered into this ) S-r day of ~ <br /> <br /> <br />2:005, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br /> <br /> <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Samaritan House, a California <br /> <br />nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"). <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor provides a homeless shelter; and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br /> <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit B (Contract Objectives), which is <br /> <br />incorporated herein by this reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the <br /> <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 2005, and ending June 30, 2006; and <br />WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed Contractor's request; finds that providing <br /> <br />the financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to <br />allocate to Contractor the sum of Ten Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($10,000). <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of Ten <br /> <br />Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($10,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal <br />year commencing July 1, 2005, and ending June 30, 2006, solely for the purposes <br /> <br />described in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />USE OF FUNDS. <br /> <br />Contractor will use the funds provided pursuant to <br /> <br />Paragraph 1 solely for the Program purposes described in Exhibits A (Budget) & B. <br /> <br />CDBG/DJT.cje <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />7/19/2005 <br />
