<br />252 <br /> <br />.: ¡ <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />REDWOOD CI~Y PARK AND RECREATION <br />C 01~ff I S S ION <br />JULY 5,1961 <br /> <br />Regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Co~nission was called to <br />order by Chairman Wallace Harder at 8:00 p.m. in the Conference Ro~ <br />of.the Veterans Memorial~ Building. . <br /> <br />Following commissio.ners were present: Chairman Harder, Jim Slobodian, <br />Maurice Schutz and Louise Tornell. Staff members present were Red <br />Morton and Pasco Balzarini. ~ ~ <br /> <br /> <br />M S C that the minutes of ~ne 8, joint meeting, be approved as mailed. <br /> <br />Mr. Smith, representing the First Congregational Church, appeared and <br />offered the services of at least 27 high school children to cut down <br />weeds, etc., on Sunday afternoons. The question was raised as to <br />possible injuries, poison oak, and Balzarini stated that the necessary <br />forms would be cleared through the City Attorney with parents approval. <br />M S C Tornell and Schutz that offer be accepted. <br /> <br />~,~r. C. A. Trife letti of Oddstad Homes present.ed the Commission with <br />plans of running sewer lines through Stulsaft Park in connection <br />with their new building project in Fa~ Hills #7. Mr. Trlfeletti <br />said the approximate cost would be about $35,000.00 and the cost to <br />the city would be aro~d $20,000.00 payable on a five year basis. <br />Upon the recommendation of the Park Supt. the motion was made, <br />seconded and carried that the commission request the City Cmuncil <br />to consider this project. Glen Jain of the City Engineering Dept. <br />Dresented his views on this also. <br />... <br /> <br />Balzarini says he is still working on lighting for night watering, <br />waiting for prices fram Ed Coleman. <br /> <br />Harder explained his comments on special meeting held with Veterans <br />Commission and suggested that Red create a need for use of the bldg. <br /> <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Slobodian reported tijat he has had no progress in finding a site <br />for recreation facilities in the Friendly Acres Area, all areas <br />that he has checked are landlocked but is checking with the Land <br />Development Co. in San Francisco. <br /> <br />No further business the meeting adjourned 9:50 p.m. <br /> <br />{l{} <br /> <br />1ì\-.c, .~ -r~' <br />tLu-, t <br /> <br /> <br />. <br />, <br /> <br /> <br />
