<br />PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION MINUTES

<br />Regular Meeting - September 4, 1963
<br />
<br />The meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was called to order
<br />by Chairman Alyn Beals. The following commissioners were present:
<br />Alyn Beals, Catherine Brennan, James Knecht, Maurice Schutz and Louise
<br />Torne11. Noted absent: Robert Whitmore and stan Sugarman.
<br />
<br />The minutes of the August 7, 1963 meeting were corrected as per
<br />paragraph 8. 'Parking at the end of Myrtle Street, etc.- should
<br />be a separate paragraph. Minutes approved as amended.
<br />
<br />The. following minute orders were read:

<br />63-207 ~ Fleishman Park Impro,vements
<br />63-208 - Myrtle Street Parking Area in
<br />Community Park
<br />63-209 - Dickey street perimeter parking
<br />and turnaround
<br />63-210 - Center for Senior Citizens
<br />63-211- Beautification of Community Park
<br />
<br />MSC James Knecht and Catherine Brennan that the tentative plot plan
<br />for the multi-purpose building be approved.
<br />
<br />Commissioner Knecht inquired as to the possibilities of a concession
<br />stand at the summer baseball games.
<br />
<br />It was Iecommended that a letter of congratulations be sent to the
<br />Park Department employees for their efforts in winning eight prizes
<br />at the San Mateo Fiesta.
<br />
<br />It was recommended that a letter of .congratu1ations be sent to
<br />Alfred (Ole) Olson on his retirement as Park Leadingman.
<br />
