Noted absent: stan <br />Sugarman. Others present: Alfred Morton and Pasco Balzarini. <br /> <br />Minutes of the meeting of January 8, 1964, 'amended, Page 2, Paragraph 4, <br />to read as follows: Chief Lodi has hopes of moving the present fire <br />station at Myrtle and Jefferson and therefore the importance of making <br />Myrtle a through street for fire reasons has lost its value. However, <br />Chief Lodi said there are other reasons he feels Myrtle should go <br />through to Vera. He said this would at least correct two dead end <br />streets in Redwood City. <br /> <br />Minu tes approved as amended. <br /> <br />Mr. Morton introduced Mr. Sam Bozzo from California state College <br />at Hayward. <br /> <br />Mr_. Arthur Eske1in made a presentation re CJ1rding the re-routing of <br />the existing Valota Road. The proposal would alter Valota going <br />North, cutting through a pprtion of Community Park to st. Francis <br />street=-thereby creating a four corner intersection at Jefferson <br />Avenue. This metter will be studied by the Park and Recreation <br /> <br />. I ' <br />CommlSSlon. <br /> <br />The fencing of westwood Park and Hetch Hetchy to be completed within <br />eight days. <br /> <br />Fleishman Park improvements are progressing. <br /> <br />Myttle street Parking in Community Park is under construction. <br /> <br />Dickey street perimeter parking has been completed. <br /> <br />The center for Senior Citizens is pending. Mr. Morton to investigate <br />status of 'funds allocated for this project. <br /> <br />~Further beautification of Community Park pending until creek align- <br />ment is completed. <br /> <br />Catherine Brennan announced that Redwood City's Annual Flower Shew <br />will be held April 18 and 19 at the Veterans Memorial Bui1,ding <br />with the Se~oia Art Club participating this year. <br /> <br /> <br />" - ,--' -.., - ------'~~' ,--"- ' <br /> <br /> <br />. , , <br />
