Commissioners <br />present:. Maurice Schutz, Doris Thompson and Robert Whitmore. Noted <br />absent: Stan'S~garman, Alyn Beals and Louise Tornell. Also present: <br />Alfred Morton, Bill Shewry, Don Dimitratos, Mrs. Jean Travers and <br />Mrs. Frances MOrrison. <br /> <br />Minutes for meeting of August 5, 1964, read and approved. <br /> <br />Personal appearances. Mrs. Travers appeared on behalf of the Redwood <br />City Civic Association and submitted a letter recommending that Stafford <br />Park be developed into a neighborhood~ark primarily designed for use <br />by families and smaller children. The letter was read and filed. <br /> <br />Old Business <br /> <br />_ff.l .-. <br /> <br />Mr. Morton gave a progress report on plans for the Community Center <br />Building on Baird Property. A total of $45,000 has been approved for <br />this project up to the present time. <br /> <br />Bill Shewry reported that the ground piled for straightening and <br />covering the creek through the Community Center was being leveled <br />until it can be used for the project. <br /> <br />Mr. Morton reported that progress on the Friendly Acres Project <br />would be dependent.on the outcome of negotiations for forming a <br />recreation assessment district with the County and the people living <br />in an unincorporated area.
