.. 112 REDWOOD CITY PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT MEETING OF OCTOBER 8,1975 MEMBERS PRESENT: Commissioners Knecht, Pound, Rollins, Schlesinger, Weintraub (arrived 8:10 PM) and Wilson The regular business meeting of the Parks & recreation Commission was called to order at 7:30 PM in Conference Room 1 at the Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City. MEMBERS ABS ENT : Commissioner Aldrich (excused) STAFF PRESENT: Director Max C. Weeks Park Superintendent Pasco Balzarini AUDIENCE: Rich Stello, 131 Nottingham, Redwood City Humberto Bustos, 544 Seventh Avenue, Menlo Park Rudy Vega, 3114 Fair Oaks Avenue, Redwood City Jackie Weber, 452 Grand Avenue, Redwood City Lynn Swift, 1208 Palm Avenue, Redwood City Lon Swift, 1208 Palm Avenue, Redwood City Diane Evans, 1160 Lyons Street, Redwood City Jim Deto, 1270 Dewey Street, Redwood City Danica Cooley, 867 Edgewood Road, Redwood City Janet Coeckett, 3290 Page Street, Redwood City Barbara Bartow, 1416 Maddux, Redwood City Eddie Maravues, 134 Redwood Avenue, Redwood City John Xenexaca, 1008 Woodside Road, Redwood City Chairman Knecht welcomed the GAP students from Sequoia High School and invited them to ask questions and add their comments to the discussion. MOTION: Commissioner Rollins moved to accept and approve the minutes of the September 10,1975 regular business meeting, seconded by Commissioner Wilson. The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. . Mr. Weeks atated he had the registration receipts for the League of California Cities conference for Commissioners Pound, Wilson and Aldrich. He further mentioned that these receipts would need to be presented to the Registration Desk at the Conference where the packets would be picked up. The program for the conference is printed in the latest Western Cities magazine and this would be copied and mailed to the Commissioners within the next few days. CORRESPONDENCE: Chairman Kn echt mentioned that he had some correspondence from the California Assiciation of Parks and Recreation Commissioners and Board Members thanking the Commission for their support of association projects.
