<br />~ <br />. . <br /> <br />PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> <br />MINUTES OF MONDAY, JUNE 24,1989 <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: <br /> <br />Chairman Swope, Commissioners Davis, Howard, <br />Mortensen, Nordness and Slusser <br /> <br />COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: <br /> <br />Vice-chairman Weiss <br /> <br />STAFF PRESENT: <br /> <br />Parks, Recreation and Community Services <br />Director Griffiths and Secretary Frei <br /> <br />Chairman Swope called the special meeting of the Park and Recreation <br />Commission to order at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Activities <br />Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ITEM 1 - COUNCIL/COMMISSION ANNUAL PARK TOUR <br /> <br />The Commission discussed possible dates for the annual park tour and <br />arrived at Saturday, June 10,1989 at 8:30 a.m.. The initial <br />meeting place will be at the Community Activities Building, 1400 <br />Roosevelt Avenue. Places to visit were decided as: Hoover Park, <br />Redwood Shores, Union Cemetery and Seaport Boulevard. Staff will <br />send out invites to the City Council, City Manager and the Assistant <br />City Manager. <br /> <br />ITEM 2- RED MORTON CENTER LETTER <br /> <br />This item was deferred until the July meeting. <br /> <br />ITEM 3 - DEPARTMENTAL STRATEGIC GENERAL PLAN <br /> <br />See attached for consolidation of ideas from the last three <br />meetings. This draft was prepared by Chairman Swope. <br /> <br />The specially scheduled meeting of the Park and Recreation <br />Commission was adjourned at 9:00 p.m. to be reconvened at 7:30 p.m. <br />on Tuesday, May 9',1989 in the Community Activities Building, 1400 <br />Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br /> <br />/pr.2.24 <br />
