DES:yc:8/13/76 ORIGINAl ORDINANCE- NO. 1682 AUG 28 1916 --------- AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1976-1977, TO PAY THE BONDED INDEBTEDNESS OF SAID CITY FALLING DUE AND BECOMING PAYABLE DURING SAID FISCAL YEAR TOGETHER WITH THE INTEREST THEREON, TO MAINTAIN THE PUBLIC LIBRARY OF SAID CITY DURING SAID FISCAL YEAR, TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR THE RETIREMENT PLAN, TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR PARKING DISTRICT NO.1, TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1-64, AND FIXING AND LEVYING THE TAX RATE THEREFOR THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. GENERAL TAX REVENUE REQUIRED. The total amount of money to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the City of Redwood City to provide revenue to meet the general municipal expenses and to carryon the various departments of said City for the fiscal year July 1, 1976 - June 30, 1977; to pay the interest and principal upon all of the outstanding bonded indebtedness of said City, due and becoming payable during said fiscal year; to maintain the public library of said City during said fiscal year; and to provide funds for the City's contribution to the retirement plan voted at ~he municipal election on April 9, 1940; is hereby fixed at the total sum of Four Million, Ninety-one Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty-three and No/IOO Dollars ($4,091,833.00). " SECTION 2. REVENUE DETAIL AND DISTRICTS. The following general and special tax rates for the areas hereinafter set forth are hereby levied and fixed, for the fiscal year July 1, 1976 - June 30, 1977, to raise the total revenues set forth in Section 1 hereof, and in addition thereto the amounts hereinafter set forth for Parking District No.1 and General Improvement District No. 1-64, to wit: (a) Two Million, Seven Hundred Fifty-one Thousand One Hundred Sixty and No/lOO Dollars ($2,751,160.00) to meet the general municipal 1 f)B 2.
