<br />CGM:dp:8/l6/76RR <br /> <br />0 R DIN AN C E <br /> <br />N 0.1 680 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />AUG 23 '916 <br /> <br />--------- <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 20.44 AND 20.45 OF CHAPTER 20 <br />OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO PRIMA <br />FACIE SPEED LIMITS <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. <br /> <br />Section 20.44 of Chapter 20 of the Code of the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 20.44 <br /> <br />It is hereby determined upon the <br /> <br />basis of an engineering and traffic investigation that <br /> <br />the speed permitted by state law upon the following <br /> <br />streets is less than is necessary for safe operation of <br /> <br />vehicles thereon by reason of the designation and sign <br /> <br />posting of the streets as through highways or by reason <br /> <br />of widely spaced intersections, and it is hereby declared <br /> <br />that the prima facie speed limit shall be as hereinafter <br /> <br />set forth on those streets or parts of streets herein <br /> <br />designated when signs are erected giving notice thereof: <br /> <br />Name of Street or <br />Portion Affected <br /> <br />Declared Prima <br />Facie Speed Limit <br /> <br />"(a) <br /> <br />Bay Road, between Woodside Road <br />and Florence Street <br /> <br />30 MPH <br /> <br />" (b) <br /> <br />Broadway, between Woodside Road <br />and Douglas Avenue <br /> <br />30 MPH <br /> <br />"(c) <br /> <br />Farm Hill Boulevard, between <br />Jefferson Avenue anò the westerly <br />limits of City <br /> <br />35 MPH <br /> <br />"(d) <br /> <br />Hudson Avenue, between Woodside Road <br />and Whipple Avenue <br /> <br />30 MPH <br /> <br />"(e) <br /> <br />Jefferson Avenue, between El Camino <br />Real and Farm Hill Boulevard <br /> <br />30 MPH <br /> <br />"(f) <br /> <br />Middlefield Road, between Woodside <br />Road and 8th Avenue <br /> <br />30 MPH <br /> <br />1 ßR n <br />
