03/25/2019 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15743 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2018-19 <br />BUDGET TO INCREASE THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES BUDGET <br />FOR THE HUMAN RESOURCES DIVISION TO COVER THE COSTS <br />ASSOCIATED WITH AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE PROFESSIONAL <br />SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH LIEBERT CASSIDY WHITMORE FOR <br />LABOR RELATIONS SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, during the course of a fiscal year, the City Council may take actions <br />that change or modify the City's existing and approved budgets; and <br />WHEREAS, the Human Resources Division of the Administrative Services <br />Department requires professional services related to labor relations, labor negotiations, <br />and evaluation of Industrial Disability Retirement costs; and <br />WHEREAS, Council has already approved an Agreement for Professional <br />Services with Liebert Cassidy Whitmore for labor relations services and Amendment <br />No. 1 to the same; and <br />WHEREAS, staff anticipates the need to further amend the agreement to extend <br />the contract and increase the contract amount to pay for work already performed and to <br />retain Liebert Cassidy Whitmore to facilitate Industrial Disability Retirement Committee <br />meetings with safety bargaining groups; and <br />WHEREAS, an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2018-19 budget is required to <br />cover the cost of the above described contract amendment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.
