<br />CGM: It: 5/13/74 <br /> <br />ORIGI NAL <br /> <br />JUN 10 '14 <br /> <br />ORD.!,NANCE <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />1602 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2.20 AND 2.23 OF THE CODE <br />OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CI TY, RELATING TO MEETINGS OF <br />THE CITY COUNCIL AND THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Section 2.20 of the Code of the city of Redwood <br /> <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"section 2.20. (a) Regular meetings of the Council <br />of the City shall be held on the first four Mondays of <br />each month, except when such Monday is a holiday as <br />defined by the personnel rules and regulations of the <br />City of Redwood City (excluding the provisions for <br />administrative holidays). <br /> <br />(b) Regular meetings of the Council shall be held <br />at 7:30 o'clock P.M. in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, <br />Hall of Justice and Records, Redwood City, California. <br /> <br />(c) All Council meetings shall be open to the <br />public except for permitted executive sessions." <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Section 2.23 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 2.23. Regular meetings of the Planning <br />Commission of the City shall be held in the Board of <br />Supervisors Chambers, Hall of Justice and Records, Redwood <br />City, California, on the days and at the hour designated by <br />the Planning Commission by resolution adopted by such body <br />and all such meetings shall be open to the public. Any <br />meetings of the Planning Commission may be cancelled in <br />advance by order of the Commission entered upon the minutes <br />thereof. If any meeting is so cancelled, the secretary of <br />the Planning Commission shall forward written notice thereof <br />to each member of the Commission and to such other persons <br />that request such notice and have filed their names and <br />addresses with the secretary of the Planning Commission, <br />unless such notice is waived in writing or unless the <br />member in question is present at the meetinq. Failure of <br />any Commission member or any other person to receive notice <br />of cancellation shall not invalidate or otherwise affect <br />the action of the Commission in cancelling the meeting. <br />The provisions of Sections 2.21 and 2.22 relative to adjourned <br />and special meetings of the Council shall be applicable to <br />and shall govern the Planning Commission with the following <br />modifications: The term 'Commission' shall be substituted <br />for the term 'Council'; the term 'chairman of the Planning <br />Commission' shall be substituted for the term 'Mayor'; the <br />term 'secretary of the Planning Commission' shall be sub- <br />stituted for the term 'City Clerk'; and the term 'Planning <br />Director' shall be substituted for the term 'Deputy City <br />Clerk.
