<br />SECIJ'ION 2. Article. VII (commencing at Section 9.70) is hereby

<br />added to chapte~ 9 of the Code of the city of Redwood city to rend

<br />as follows:

<br />"Article VII. Mech~nical Code
<br />
<br />II Sec:t ion_~. 70. (a) Pursuant to Sect.ion 50022.1, et seq.,
<br />
<br />of the (;li'; e:cmnent Code a.nd Section 15 of the charter of the City
<br />
<br />of Redwood city, the ~Uniform Mocha~ical Code, 1970 Edition,f as
<br />
<br />puhlished 'by the Internv.tiona1 Association of Plumbing and Hechan-
<br />
<br />ical Offi(:ials and the International Conference of Building
<br />
<br />Officials, is hereby adopted and shall be in effect within the
<br />
<br />Ci ty of Red\'lOod city to the same extent as if set ont in full
<br />
<br />herein except as expressly amen(h:d. by the provisions of this
<br />
<br />article. The appendix thereto is specifically adopted and shall
<br />
<br />be enforceable to the same extent as if contained in the body
<br />
<br />of said code.
