Ui\!un\~hil.. .,'-11 I:~ 'IQI o R DIN A N C E --------- N O. /~~~ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 29.75 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO THE INSPECTION TO DETERMINE WHETHER CERTAIN TREES, SHRUBS, VINES, OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF PLANT MATERIAL CONSTITUTE A NUISANCE, THE ABATEMENT PROCEDURE, AND THE DUTY OF THE PROPERTY OWNER TO PREVENT SUCH NUISANCE THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. section 29.75 of the Code of the city of Redwood city is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 29.75 The Park superintendent may inspect any tree, shrub, vine, or any other type of plant material adjacent to or overhanging any public street in the city to determine whether the same or any portion thereof is in such condition as to constitute a hazard or impediment to the progress or vision of anyone traveling on such public street. Any tree, shrub, vine, or any other type of plant material or part thereof growing upon private property but overhangin9 or interfering with the use of any street that in the opinion of the Park superintendent endangers the life, health, safety or property of the public utilizing the street shall be declared a public nuisance. If the owner of such private property does not correct or remove such nuisance within ten days after receipt of written notice thereof from the Park superintendent, the superintendent may cause the nuisance to be abated, and the cost of such abatement shall be paid by the owner within ten days after being notified of the cost. "Nothing contained herein shall be deemed to impose any liability upon the city, its officers or employees nor to relieve the owner of any private property from the duty to keep any trees, shrubs, vines, or any other types of plant material upon his property or under his control in such a r
