NN 26 '00 o R DIN A N C E ---------- N O. /~t/ AN ORDIl'JANCE l\MENDING SECTIONS 2.27, 2.27.2, AND 2.27.5 OF rl'HE CODE OF THE CITY OF REm'WOD CITY, REL1\TING TO APPROVAL OF, F0'\TES OF Rl:nr.mURSEHENT FOR, i"'\.ND ACCOUNTING FOR, COUNCIL L'IEHBER EXPENSES THE COUNCIL OF REm'WOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 2.27 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as folloVls: "Section 2.27 v7henever a member of the City Council is required to travel from the City to a destination outside the City in the performance of his officia 1 duties, prior to departure of such member approval of the Council for such travel shall be required when anyone or more of the following circumstances exist: II (a) The destination is outside the State of CaliforniQ; "(b) The destination lS in excess of 75 miles from the CitYi II (c) The purpose for Whlcn travel is required necessitates the use of overnight 1iv ing acco:nmoda tions. "Council approval, when granted, shall be deemed to include approval vf advance for, or reimbursement of, expenses under Section 2.27.2." SECTION 2. Section 2.27.2 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 2.27.2 Advance for, or reimbursement of expenses of a member of the Council necessarily and properly to be incurred or incurred in the performance of official duties shall be made at the following rates: II (a) ( i) Livina expenses in the amount of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) i)er d~y for each dZlY durincz \'ll:ic:J the use of overnight livJ.ng aCCOI~unoaCltlons is required; (ii) Actual living expenses (including, but not necessarily limited to, meals, transportation r
