L DES:yc:5/13/68 ---------- ORDINANCE N O. . /~5''1' ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING DOWNTOWN PARKING AND BUSI~~SS IMPROVEMENT AREA NO. 1 IN A PORTION OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 36000 ET SEQ" OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWmyS CODE; DESCRIBING THE BOUNDARIES OF SAID ARR~i ESTABLISHING THE RATE OR LEVY OF ADDITIONAL TAXATION BY CLASSIFICATION OF BUSINESS WITHIN SAID DISTRICT; AND S'I'ATING THE USES TO WHICH THE REVENUES FROM SUCH TAXA'l'ION SHALL BE PU'l' THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. In accordance with Part 5 of Division 18 (commencing with ~36000) of the streets and Highways Code of the State of California, a parking and business improvement area is hereby established in the City of Redwood City, which area may be referred to as "Downtown Parking an'd Business Improve-. ment Area No. 1.11 SECTION 2. In accordance with Section 36025(a) of the Streets and High",ays Code, the follo\.!ing inforrne.tion is included herein: (a) Pursuant to Section 36021 of the' Streets and Highways Code of the State of Cali,fornia,'Resolution No. 5678 of the Council of the City of RedvlOod City \'las adopted April 22, 1968. The title of said Resolution No. 5678 is IIResqlution of the Council of the City of Red\'lOod City Determining that the Public Interest Requires the Establishment of a Parking and Business Improvement Area in a Portion of the City of Redwood City in Accordance with Section 36000, et seg., of the Str~ets and Highways Code; Giving Notice of its Intention to do SOi Describing the Boundaries of the Proposed Area: Stating the Rate or Levy of a Proposed License Tax; Stating the Uses to vlhich the Proposed Revenue Shall be Put: and, Setting the Time and Place of a Hearing Thereon. II (b) Hearing was held concerning the formation of the Parking and Business Improvement Area referred to in the above entitled Resolution No. 5678 at 7:30 p.m. o'clock on May 13, 1968, in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, Hall of Justice and Records, Red~lood City, County of San Mateo, California. SECTION 3. The boundaries of the parking and business improvement area established herein are as set forth and des- cribed in "Exhibit A,II attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.
