<br />CES:rlim 02/07/90 (018/#27) <br />Ohn.:ii r'lAL <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11223 <br /> <br />FE. 8 1 2 1990 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONDEMNING BUILDINGS AT <br />STREET AS A PUBLIC NUISANCE <br />RECONSTRUCTION OR REMOVAL THEREOF <br /> <br />423-437 FULLER <br />AND DIRECTING <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Building Department of this City has determined <br /> <br />that the apartment building and a detached garage which are located <br /> <br />at 423-437 Fuller Street are a public nuisance as defined by <br /> <br />Sections 9.5 of the Redwood City Code because the buildings have <br /> <br />become manifestly unsafe for the purposes for which they have been <br /> <br />used; the buildings exist and are maintained in violation of <br /> <br />specific requirements and prohibitions applicable to such buildings <br /> <br />by regulations of the City; the buildings, constructed and intended <br /> <br />for use as an apartment house and a detached garage, have, because <br /> <br />of inadequate maintenance, dilapidation, decay, damage, faulty <br /> <br />construction, inadequate light, air, or sanitation facilities or <br /> <br />otherwise, been determined to be unfit for human habitation and/or <br /> <br />are unsanitary; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Building Department has given notice to the owner <br />of the buildings at 423-437 Fuller Street, as evidenced by Exhibit <br /> <br />A, to appear before this Council to show cause, if any, why such <br /> <br />buildings should not be declared to be a public nuisance and abated <br /> <br />in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9 of the Redwood City <br /> <br />Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has received extensive evidence that the <br /> <br />buildings at 423-437 Fuller Street have become dilapidated and have <br /> <br />numerous housing code violations; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />
