03/27/2007 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14770 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AMENDING THE STRATEGIC GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY TO CHANGE THE GENERAL PLAN LAND USE <br />DESIGNATIONS OF PROPERTIES LOCATED WITHIN THE REDWOOD <br />CITY DOWNTOWN PRECISE PLAN AREA TO "DOWNTOWN MIXED <br />USE" AND "DOWNTOWN MIXED USE EXPANSION BLOCKS" <br />WHEREAS, after a duly noticed public hearing on February 6, 2007, the <br />Planning Commission of the City of Redwood City (the "Commission") recommended to <br />the City Council an amendment of the Strategic General Plan of the City of Redwood <br />City (the "General Plan") to change the General Plan land use designations of <br />properties generally located within the Redwood City Downtown Precise Plan <br />("Downtown Precise Plan") area to "Downtown Mixed Use" and "Downtown Mixed Use <br />Expansion Blocks;" and <br />WHEREAS, at the same public hearing, the Commission recommended to the <br />City Council, an amendment of the General Plan to include two new land use <br />designations of "Downtown Mixed Use" and "Downtown Mixed Use Expansion Blocks;" <br />and <br />WHEREAS, this Council, having reviewed the recommendations of the <br />Commission and having considered the evidence received at the public hearing duly <br />noticed and held for said proposed amendments, finds that the proposed amendments <br />are in the public interest and consistent with the purposes of the Redwood City Zoning <br />Ordinance and desires to amend the General Plan in the manner proposed. <br />Atty/Reso/Reso.1687 14770 <br />20607 Muff # 613 <br />
