0 R I G I N A L 1/6/97 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12984 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF THE <br /> REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA NO.2, TAX <br /> ALLOCATION REFUNDING BONDS, SERIES 1997 AND <br /> CERTAIN RELATED MATTERS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redwood City (the <br />"Agency") has authorized, by resolution duly adopted on this date (the "Agency <br />Resolution"), the issuance of its Redevelopment Project Area No. 2, Tax Allocation <br />Refunding Bonds, Series 1997 (the "Bonds") in an aggregate principal amount not to <br />exceed $15,000,000 to refund certain outstanding obligations described below which <br />financed redevelopment projects in furtherance of the Agency's Redevelopment Project; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the obligations to be refunded with the Bonds consist of loan <br />payments to be made by the Agency pursuant to a Loan Agreement, dated as of July 15, <br />1991, between the Agency and the City of Redwood City Public Financing Authority, <br />which loan payments secure the outstanding $14,530,000 City of Redwood City Public <br />Financing Authority 1991 Local Agency Revenue Bonds, Series B; <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Redwood City as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The issuance of the Bonds by the Agency is hereby approved. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The officers of the City are hereby authorized and directed, jointly <br />and severally, to do any and all things and execute and deliver any and all documents, <br />certificates and other instruments which they may deem necessary or advisable in order <br />to consummate the issuance, sale and delivery of the Bonds by the Agency, and to <br />execute and deliver such certificates and other documents they may deem appropriate <br />and otherwise to carry out, give effect to and comply with the terms and intent of this <br /> <br /> <br />
