The <br />Califomia <br />Military <br />Department <br />LICENSE NUMBER 1 158 <br />LICENSE TO USE CMD MILITARY PROPERTY <br />BETWEEN <br />CALIFORNIA MILITARY DEPARTMENT <br />AND <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />FOR <br />USE OF READINESS CENTER & GROUNDS <br />This AGREEMENT, dated for reference the 1St day of August, 2019, by and between the <br />California Military Department ("CMD") and the City of Redwood City, a municipal <br />corporation ("LICENSEE"), 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, County of San Mateo, <br />California, without distinction as to number or gender, and effective upon execution by <br />CMD. CMD and LICENSEE are sometimes referred to individually as a "party" and <br />collectively as the "parties". <br />RECITALS <br />WHEREAS, the CMD has under its jurisdiction, certain real property known as the <br />Redwood City Armory located at 939 Valota Road, Redwood City, County <br />of San Mateo, described in Exhibit "A" comprised of one (1) page, attached <br />hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, and hereinafter called <br />PREMISES; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is essential that CMD have a secure facility and surrounding grounds; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is consistent with CMD policy to support other state agencies or <br />departments or local governments when not in conflict with operational <br />requirements; and, <br />WHEREAS, PREMISES may be made available to meet needs of the local community <br />when not required to meet immediate operational requirements; <br />NOW THEREFORE, CMD and LICENSEE agree as follows: <br />WITNESSETH <br />GENERAL PROVISIONS <br />A. AGREEMENT is for non-exclusive weekday or week -end use throughout the <br />License term. <br />B.
