<br />CGM:yc:8/4/80 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />No.8658 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />AUG 11 1980 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE REDWOOD CITY-SAN MATEO <br />COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, RELATING TO THE GENERAL <br />DEVELOPMENT AND PROMOTION OF LOCAL INDUSTRY AND COMMERCE <br />IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Redwood City - San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce <br /> <br />has requested the City of Redwood City to contribute certain monies <br /> <br />during the fiscal year July 1, 1980 - June 30, 1981, for the <br /> <br />maintenance and improvement of the economy of the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />by the general development and promotion of local industry and <br /> <br />commerce, in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />authorize the execution of an agreement by and between the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City and the Redwood City - San Mateo County Chamber of <br /> <br />Commerce providing for a payment of Twenty Thousand and No/IOO Dollars <br /> <br />($20,000.00) to the San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce by the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City for such above stated purposes for the fiscal <br /> <br />year July 1, 1980 - June 30, 1981; <br /> <br />NO~~, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement (form dated 8/4/80), by and between the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City and the Redwood City - San Mateo County Chamber <br /> <br />of Commerce relating to the general development and promotion of <br /> <br />local industry and commerce in the City of Redwood City, a copy of <br /> <br />which agreement is presently on file in the office of the City Clerk, <br /> <br />to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars concerning <br /> <br />the terms and conditions thereof, is hereby approved, and the City <br /> <br />Manager is hereby authorized to execute the same on behalf of the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />8658 <br />
