DES:djk-~l/30/96 (068/41) <br /> <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 2/12/96 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12696 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID OF THE REDWOOD CITY ALMANAC <br /> FOR OFFICIAL ADVERTISING; DESIGNATING SAID NEWSPAPER AS <br /> THE OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; AND <br /> REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in response to advertisement for bids for <br />publication of all matters of the City required to be published, <br />no bids were received from newspapers of general circulation in <br />the City and one bid, not from a newspaper qualified as a <br />newspaper of general circulation in the City was received; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, following said advertisement for bids, the City <br />Clerk solicited bids from all newspapers qualified as newspapers <br />of general circulation in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Redwood City Almanac, which has been <br />adjudicated as a newspaper of general circulation and which has <br />its principal office of publication located in the City, is the <br />lowest responsible bidder responding to said solicitation for <br />bids; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to designate the Redwood City <br /> <br />Almanac as the official newspaper of the City of Redwood City; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The proposal of the Redwood City Almanac submitted in <br />response to solicitation for bids for designation as the official <br />newspaper of the City is hereby accepted, and said bidder is <br />hereby declared the lowest responsible bidder for said <br />designation. <br /> <br /> <br />
