6/12/00 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2192 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF FIRST <br /> SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT TO FRANCHISE AGREEMENT <br /> WITH BFI WASTE SYSTEMS OF NORTH AMERICA, INC., FOR <br /> SOLID WASTE, REOYOLABLE MATERIALS, AND PLANT <br /> MATERIALS COLLECTION SERVICES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City and BFI Waste Systems of North <br />America, Inc. ("BFI"), entered into that certain agreement entitled, "Franchise <br />Agreement Between the City of Redwood City and BFI Waste Systems of North <br />America, Inc., for Solid Waste, Recyclable Materials, and Plant Materials Collection <br />Services," dated as of September 9, 1999, which agreement became effective <br />January 1, 2000; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Franchise Agreement currently provides, among other <br />matters, for the collection of plant materials from .residential properties within the City <br />of Redwood City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, BFI proposes to expand the plant materials collection services to <br />include non-residential properties; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to and reviewed by this Council an <br />agreement amending Section 4.04.1 of the Franchise Agreement to provide for the <br /> <br />aforesaid expanded services; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: . <br /> <br /> Section 1. That certain agreement entitled, "First Supplemental Agreement <br />to Franchise Agreement Between the City of RedwOod City and BFI Waste Systems <br />of North America, Inc., for Solid Waste, Recyclable Materials, and Plant Materials <br />Collection Services," amending Section 4.04.1 o~the Franchise Agreement to include' <br /> <br />Ord-106 1 <br />F:Shared/Redwood/CounciFOrd <br /> <br />o¢/z9/o0 <br /> <br /> <br />
