3/26/01 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO, 2207 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 18.242 OF THE CODE OF <br /> THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO <br /> UNDERGROUNDING OF UTILITIES <br /> <br /> The Council of Redwood City does ordain as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Section 18.242 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is <br />hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Sec. 18.242. UNDERGROUND UTILITIES: Upon the construction <br /> of a new commercial building, the electrical, telephone, and cable <br /> TV lines shall be installed underground along the street frontage as <br /> well as on the subject property. Upon the substantial remodeling of <br /> a commercial building, the estimated cost of which exceeds one <br /> hundred thousand dollars ($100,000), as determined by the <br /> Building Official, the existing and new electrical, telephone, and <br /> cable TV lines connected to the building shall be installed <br /> underground, along the frontage as well as on the subject <br /> property." <br /> <br /> Section 2.
