AGREEMENT <br /> for <br /> JOB TRAINING PROGRAM <br /> <br /> (CANADA COLLEGE - JOB TRAINING UNIT) <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this /~),~,¢ day of <br />~,/~ I,] e' ~ ~ 1997, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a <br />municipal corporation of the State of California, ("City"),CANADA COLLEGE (JOB <br />TRAINING UNIT), a California nonprofit corporation ("Contractor"); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor conducts a job training program for Iow income <br />residents of the of the City (the "Program"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br />conduct the Program for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing <br />July 1, 1997, and ending June 30, 1998; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to <br />Contractor the sum of One Hundred Thirty-four Eight Hundred Eleven Dollars <br />($134,811.00) from its Community Development Block Grant funds for the <br />Program; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Financial Assistance. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />One Hundred Thidy-four Eight Hundred Eleven Dollars ($134,811.00) for <br />exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1997, <br />and ending June 30, 1998, solely for the purposes described in paragraph 2. <br /> <br /> <br />
